Campaign Launched To Arrest Pope During U.K. Visit

Richard Dawkins, a famous atheist campaigner, along with Slate columnist Christopher Hitchens, have asked human rights lawyers to write up a case against Pope Benedict XVI that would have him arrested "for crimes against humanity." The plan is to charge the pope with covering up cases of sexual abuse within the Catholic Church. Although his visit to England in September will officially be called a state visit, Hitchens and Dawkins say the pope wouldn't be able to claim diplomatic immunity because the Vatican doesn't meet the criteria to be classified as a state under international law.
