Mission Valley is a cluster fuck of artery clogging American slop houses (Fudruckers, etc.) and corporate status quo shopping Mecca's (Old Navy, Bed Bath and Beyond, etc.). It's hard to get around, busy, and uninspiring. Unfortunately if you live downtown you have to go to Fashion Valley Mall, Target, Costco or even BevMo every now and then and that means hopping on the 163 in the wrong direction and then swinging back around into the madness. Turns out there's a secret street that pops out of Hillcrest and heads straight over by Fashion Valley no 163 or traffic needed and it take only 1 minute longer. It's incredible! The direction below are from 5th and University in the heart of Hillcrest!
1: Start out going NORTH on 5TH AVE toward WASHINGTON ST.
2: Turn LEFT onto WASHINGTON ST.
3: Turn RIGHT onto 1ST AVE.
4: Turn RIGHT onto LEWIS ST.
5: Turn LEFT onto BACHMAN PL.
6: Turn RIGHT onto HOTEL CIR S.
7: Turn RIGHT onto FASHION VALLEY RD.
8: End at Fashion Valley Mall!
