Dissapointed in Sweet Katy Perry

The video for California Girls was a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. Anyone else feeling that? Even if it WAS a song about Candyland The Outdated Board Game it would have somewhat blown. But it was a song about the glory of the Women on America's West Coast and for some reason it turned into a creepy candy infomercial where girls are trapped in cellophane and Snoop Dog is a licorice pimp. If I had the chance to remake it, it'd be Katy Perry on a road trip with her bitches driving up the coast and stopping in on Cali's best cities to get a taste of the girls from that town. There'd be dance parties, girls dancing in cars, in bars, lots of daisy dukes, you know, IT'D BE LIKE THE SONG. San Diego's sun doped blondes, LA's glamed out girls, San Fran's hippie chicks, hell even show a few trucker hatted Inland Empire bitches!! But no....

Hallucinogenic Drug Provides Relief to Cancer Patients

Psilocybin, the active ingredient in magic mushrooms, can help terminally ill cancer patients who are struggling with anxiety, a new study found. Under the supervision of trained therapists, a group of patients was found to experience relief after a guided trip on the hallucinogenic drug. Months after taking the drug, the patients reported feeling less anxious and their overall mood had shown improvement, according to follow-up interviews with researchers. "By the six-month mark, the group's average score on a common scale used to measure depression had declined by 30 percent, according to the study, which was published in the Archives of General Psychiatry," Health.com reported. Some of the patients said that their experience with the drug brought them closer to friends and family and even gave them a new perspective on their illness. Most notably, the hallucinogenic did not bring about any unwanted side effects. "We were pleased with the results," said Charles Grob, the lead researcher and a professor of psychiatry at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. Other were too. The findings are "important because he's showing that you can administer these compounds safely to cancer patients with anxiety," said Roland Griffiths, a professor of psychiatry and neuroscience at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. "They're not substances that should be used recreationally or casually, but nonetheless it appears that we can conduct research with these compounds safely." Funded by private foundations and a nonprofit out of Sante Fe, Grob's study is the first of its kind in decades, as the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved only a handful of small studies involving hallocinogens since they were outlawed in the 1970s.

Marcell the Shell, hot new YouTube

Kevin Jonas Takes Sex off that ridiculous pedestal...

Kevin Jonas had an amusing quote captured by Bliss Magazine UK: "Sex was not worth the wait. After we did it, I was kind of like, that's it?"

The Jonas Brothers are famously staying celibate until marriage, and the pop star exchanged vows with Danielle Deleasa at Oheka Castle in Long Island, New York, in front of 400 friends and family members - despite a blizzard threatening to hit the area.

Kevin now has more time to spend with his wife, since the Jonas Brothers have canceled several concerts due to a lack of ticket sales. Something tells us the time won't be spent getting intimate!

Domestic Beer Saftey

Domestic beer is ONLY meant to be imbibed at an ice cold temperature, god forbid it warm up and you taste it's wretched flavor. When it's ice cold it kind of just tastes like funky water and you can drink it all afternoon at Lake Havasu or wherever domestic beer drinkers party. Very smart of Coors to ensure their beer is only drank at a safe temperature....

Delicious Snack

They REALLY do taste like hot wings! If you were a fan of the DELICIOUS Honey Mustard flavor and you like Hot Wings, I say check em out. But only if you have a few buddies to split em with, the bag serves 10! When they say bursting with flavor they mean it. And don't mistakenly get the less flavorful pretzel nuggets, get the pieces!

Is that legal?

in June, Fox News parent company News Corp., the Murdoch-owned media giant, donated $1 million to the Republican Governors Association.

I think Fox news AT VERY LEAST needs to change it's motto from "Fair & Balanced". And I think if a news program supports a political party they should be called entertainment so people who want balanced news aren't confused right? Ridiculous.

Awesome Article on the inside of the Prop 8 Trial

Editor's note: Lisa Bloom is the managing partner of The Bloom Firm, where she practices civil and criminal law.

(CNN) -- There's a big difference between a political debate about same-sex marriage and the recent hard-fought court challenge to the California ban, Proposition 8.
In politics, anything goes: Vague, sinister comments about same-sex marriage threatening children or undermining the sanctity of heterosexual marriage were prevalent during the Prop 8 campaign. In court, same-sex marriage opponents needed solid evidence to back up these and other claims.
Despite "able and energetic counsel," they never produced it. That's why they lost, resoundingly, in the federal district court. And that lack of evidence should dog opponents up through the chain of appeals that is now beginning, because appellate courts are required to review only the evidence in the court record and to give great deference to Judge Vaughn Walker's findings of fact. He was there, after all, presiding over the trial, and the appellate judges weren't.
And what a lopsided trial he presided over. All the anti-same-sex marriage arguments imploded when subjected to the rules of evidence.

You don't have to have evidence of this point," counsel responded to the judge's question asking what support existed for their claim that "responsible procreation is really at the heart of society's interest in regulating marriage."
No, sorry, at trial, you do have to have evidence. Of this point and every point. (And since -- as even Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia once pointed out in another case -- the sterile and elderly are allowed to marry, it can't be all about procreation.)
Trials turn on admissible evidence -- primarily credible witness testimony or documents, in this type of case. And Prop 8 proponents did not have it. Over and over again, Walker's decision focused on the evidence, the mountain of reliable facts offered by gay marriage advocates, and the glaring lack thereof proffered by gay marriage opponents.
The same-sex-marriage advocates presented eight lay witnesses and nine expert witnesses.
One plaintiff testified that marriage would be a way to tell "our friends, our family ... that this is a lifetime commitment ... we are not girlfriends. We are not partners. We are married." The other three presented similarly compelling, credible testimony about the damage to their dignity, the economic losses, the sting of discrimination they suffered daily due to their legally enshrined second-class citizenship.

Orgies or Beer? You Only Get One

FROM GIZMODO:
In Sex at Dawn, Christopher Ryan and Cacilda Jethá put to lie the notion of sexual monogamy as something intrinsically human, arguing we gave up sexual novelty for agriculture. "Agriculture" probably means "beer". We gave up orgies for beer?

As a lover of both booze and sex alike, it's the most troubling existential question I've ever faced: Would I give up easy access to booze to have easy access to more sexual partners?

To condense a beautifully researched book into a gross synopsis, Ryan and Jethá's theory goes like this:

Anbody Else....

...not as into Jennifer Hudson anymore now that she's a size 6? I don't have anything against small or fit women but when you carve out your Hollywood niche as a big beautiful Diva it's hard to go back in reverse. Plus were just over saturated with small actresses. We could use some curves up on the silver screen! Allright everybody, all aboard the Christina Hendricks Train!!!

Christina Hendricks is the hot bombshell from Mad Men. I've seen her in interviews and she's smart and sweet. As a size 12-14 actress she is CONSTANTLY defending her weight. Even though she is incredibly sexy, that's show biz tho!

Funny Tidbit:

Ms. Hendricks is dating the hilarious dude who scarfed shrooms, weed and who knows what else in the awesome opening scene of Super Troopers. CANDY BARS!!!

You Bieber Believe It!

NOTE: Ok I love Justin Bieber as much as the next wacked out boy obsessed 14 year old but I STILL think it's way to soon for this kid to get a movie and a god damn memoir. He doesn't even have drug OD, sex scandals, shoplifting incidents or anything to his name! Talk about moneymakin' machine....

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Justin Bieber is adding movie star to his resume.

Paramount Pictures, MTV Films and Bieber's record label, Island Def Jam, say the 16-year-old pop star has signed on to appear in a feature film about his life and career.

The yet-to-be-titled movie is set for release on "Valentine's weekend" of 2011, the companies said Tuesday.

Bieber will also be producing the film, along with mentor Usher, manager Scooter Braun and Island Def Jam Music Group chairman LA Reid.

The movie will offer a "VIP backstage pass" into Bieber's life and will feature 3-D footage from his "My World 2.0" concert tour.

The ubiquitous teen sensation is also bringing his life to readers: HarperCollins announced Monday that it will publish his memoir in October.

The ultimate crappy work place Storm Out

Don't we ALL wish we could have a bad ass storm out like this? If you've worked a crappy job you know what I'm talking about. Remember the scene in Half Baked where Scarface quits his job (Fuck you, fuck you, you're cool, Fuck you, IM OUT!).

"To the passenger who called me a motherfucker, fuck you. ... I've been in the business 28 years. I've had it. That's is." That's what passengers on a flight from Pittsburgh to New York City heard over the intercom after their JetBlue flight touched down at Kennedy International Airport Monday afternoon before the angry flight attendant, who had first asked for an apology from the passenger mentioned in his tirade, popped open an emergency door and exited the plane using the emergency slide. According to reports, the flight attendant was able to pull off his tie, grab a couple of beers from the plane's galley, take the AirTran monorail to the parking lot, and drive off before anybody could stop him. Steven Slater, 39, was later arrested at his home in Queens and charged with criminal mischief and reckless endangerment. "At no time was the security or safety of our customers or crew members at risk," JetBlue said in a statement. Officials are working with the Federal Aviation Administration and the Port Authority in New York and New Jersey in investigating the incident. According to one witness, Slater, who has served on JetBlue's uniform redesign and in-flight values committees, became angry after he was hit in the head by a piece of luggage that a passenger was removing before he should have been out of his seat.

On Facebook, a celebrity fan page for Slater already had nearly 8,000 members Tuesday morning. One thousand more people had joined a group called "Free Steven Slater" and fledgling groups included "I hate the m***** f***** who called Steven Slater a m***** f*****" and "I want Steven Slater to be my flight attendant."

Weezer Using JUST Hurley's Face on Album Cover

Weezer's eighth album will come out in September on Epitaph Records, according to The AV Club, who have nobly maintained a subscription to Weezer's Twitter feed despite the band's numerous outrages against good taste. Anyone hoping for another Pinkerton probably won't take much hope from the title — Hurley — but Rivers Cuomo (who's promising "more raw rock energy on this one") is ever-unpredictable; he may yet surprise us with another good album.

Madonna In Paris To Direct Her New Movie

PARIS (AP) -- The Material Girl is illuminating the City of Light, where she's shooting her latest film, "W.E."

Dressed all in black and heavily accessorized in dark shades, a hat and a patterned scarf, Madonna directed Saturday's shoot in Paris' tony 6th district.

The 51-year-old singer made her directorial debut in 2008 with "Filth and Wisdom," about a Ukrainian cross-dressing punk-rocker.

Madonna is not the only U.S. star to film in the French capital this summer.

Last week, Woody Allen was shooting his "Midnight in Paris" on location near the Pantheon and in a park behind Notre Dame cathedral. The film, starring Owen Wilson, also includes a performance by France's first lady, model-turned-singer Carla Bruni-Sarkozy.

Great show for visually oriented drug use

Disney’s California Adventure will unveil new concept art this week at the Blue Sky Cellar preview center for the World of Color water show debuting in 2010.

In the “Alice in Wonderland” sequence from World of Color, the Cheshire Cat’s face will be projected on a fan mist screen while water whips create his body and tail. In the foreground, a diminutive Alice falls into a bottle floating on a psychedelic sea of color amid rising and falling fountains.

World of Color, which blends the nighttime spectacle of Disneyland’s Fantasmic and the Fountains of Bellagio in Las Vegas, is the first major addition of a $1.1-billion makeover planned for Disney’s California Adventure through 2012.

The 18-minute World of Color will feature an array of dancing fountains, movie projections and lighting effects all tied to the original Sherman Brothers musical score from the 1960s television show.

Walls of water that take the shape of virtually every recognizable Disney character and skyrocketing fountains will shoot so high they’ll obscure the newly renovated 16-story Mickey Mouse Ferris Wheel.

The Blue Sky Cellar preview center is scheduled to reopen Thursday with new artwork of the planned California Adventure expansion.
