Arnold Schwarzenegger's Wife Has the New US Jungle Fever Too!

(I can say that, I'm black:)
From CNN:
Republican Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger said that even though his party didn’t win the presidential election, he has at least one thing to be happy about.

“I can get back into the bedroom, so there's the big advantage,” the California governor said Sunday on CNN’s “Late Edition.”

Schwarzenegger, a leading Republican, is married to Maria Shriver, a member of the very Democratic Kennedy clan.

Shriver endorsed Barack Obama in February, just days after her husband announced his support of John McCain.

Schwarzenegger said his wife has been “gloating now for these last few days” and running around the house with a life-size cutout of Obama saying, “We won.”

Michelle better watch her man!! How nice is it to have a hot president?? Kennedy, Clinton, John Adams...it's just easier to feel confident about your country when the men and women fronting it look good you know!?!

Bush Approval Rating Lowest Since Approval Ratings Were Invented

A new national poll suggests that President Bush is the most unpopular president since approval ratings were first created more than six decades ago. Seventy-six percent of those questioned disapprove of how Bush is handling his job. "Bush is now more unpopular than Richard Nixon was when he resigned from office during Watergate with a 66 percent disapproval rating," said CNN polling director Keating Holland,

AMERICA VOTED FOR CHANGE, HOPE!! WE DID IT!!!!!!

History has changed right before our eyes and for the better. Today I am PROUD to be an American because my fellow countrymen voted for hope, they voted for change, they voted for progress, they voted for the betterment of each others lives. Almost 150 years ago a black man was considered sub human, now a black man stands as our leader. This gives me hope for Prop 8 in the near future. It won't be long before we are shaking our heads in disbelief that people ever thought it was acceptable to discount love between humans based on the gender of the person they chose. I have HOPE again for this nation. Goodness, peace, community, acceptance will be restored. Today I am proud to be an American.

In other Election News Both Good and Bad

Good:
-Massachusetts decriminalized possession of one ounce or less of marijuana, making the offense punishable with a citation and a $100 fine.
-Michigan became the 13th state to legalize marijuana for medical use
-Voters in Colorado and South Dakota defeated ballot measures aimed at restricting abortion
-Washington state, voters approved a law allowing physician-assisted suicide.
-No on Prop 4

Bad:
-Prop 8 Failed
-In Arkansas, voters approved a measure on the ballot to bar unmarried couples from adopting or taking in foster children. The referendum is intended as a constitutionally permissible way to prevent gays from adopting, supporters say.
-Prop D ends an era in beloved San Diego, no drinking outside in our gorgeous city

Note the Bic pen in the corner, this is one ounce of marijuana

Voting Shwag!!

Here are all the places hooking you up for voting! I guess it's actually illegal to give free stuff for voting so now you lame ass non voters (unless you legally can't) can treat yourself to the items below:
Due to possible conflict with election laws in various states, most are not requiring proof of voting. The free offers:

•Coffee. Starbucks expects to hand out "hundreds of thousands" of free 12-ounce drip coffees (valued at about $1.75 each), says spokeswoman Jenny McCabe. "If everyone who votes comes in for a free cup of coffee, we'll have some lines," she says.

•Doughnuts. Some 85 of Krispy Kreme's 231 locations in the U.S. will hand out star-shaped, red-white-and-blue sprinkled doughnuts "while supplies last," says spokesperson Dana Hughens. The chain will give out about 200,000 doughnuts valued at 99 cents each. "People are definitely talking about the brand as a result of this," she says.

•Ice cream. Between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. in each time zone, Ben & Jerry's ice cream shops will hand out single-scoop ice cream cones (a $3.40 value). "What better way to encourage people to be politically active than to give away free ice cream?" asks spokeswoman Liz Brenna.

•Sandwiches. In a local market promotion, several hundred of the nation's 1,400 Chick-fil-A stores will hand out $2.70 chicken sandwiches to adults who show proof that they voted, says spokesman Jerry Johnston.

•Phone calls. Credo Mobile, a wireless company that donates money to progressive causes for calls its customers make, will offer free outbound calls to current customers during polling hours in their states. The cost could be about $250,000, says spokeswoman Becky Bond.

•Discount haircuts. Then, there's Cristophe Schatteman, a top hair stylist known for giving former president Bill Clinton a $200 haircut on Air Force One. His salons in Washington, D.C., Las Vegas, Beverly Hills and Orange County, Calif., will offer all services — including haircuts — at half price today. A $500 haircut from Cristophe will go for $250.
